We remember the League’s founding on February 14th, 1920 and the ratification of the 19th Amendment 6 months later. Locally, we are celebrating our one-year anniversary of the renewal of the League of Women Voter Davis Area. Please join us on Wednesday, August 19th at 7pm. LWVDA sponsored a virtual educational forum to discuss how health care financing and systems design impact access to affordable health care services in Yolo County. View the forum HERE.
The COVID 19 crisis has magnified notable gaps inherent in this system.
James Kahn, MD, MPH, UCSF Professor Emeritus and health policy researcher, gives an overview of the US health systems that drive the access to, and cost of healthcare in the Nation. Joining Dr. Kahn, are Yolo County Healthcare officials and experts who represent community agencies which provide health care services and advocate for the uninsured and underinsured residents of the county.
